We, the undersigned, respectfully call upon you and the United States government to champion the fundamental freedoms, dignity, and human rights of the Cuban people.
We ask for renewed attention to the humanitarian needs of Cuban families, the protection of freedom of speech and conscience, the release of people unjustly detained for peacefully exercising their rights, and a future in which Cubans can freely determine their own destiny.
We urge the pursuit of peaceful, lawful, and diplomatic measures that support human rights, access to food and medicine, and lasting opportunities for the people of Cuba.
